CASA of Fresno Madera Counties is a 501(c)3 community based nonprofit organization whose mission is to recruit, train, and support citizen volunteers to advocate and speak for the best interests of abused and neglected children in the Child Welfare and Juvenile Court Systems.
CASA of Fresno County was established in late 1996 with one full-time staff member and several volunteers. In 2005, the California Judicial Council granted expansion to Madera County. Today, CASA employs full-time staff and is supporting and equipping 155 volunteer advocates who are serving 400 children in foster care on an annual basis. There are over 1,800 children in foster care in Fresno and Madera Counties.
